Located
in Westchester County, NY the studio of MARGARET LENT HANDWOVENS is a lively place
where a group of dedicated craftswomen create cloth using traditional handweaving
techniques. We weave our fabrics using the finest quality rayon chenille yarns.
Color is an important part of what we do.
Our unique color combinations in plaid or pinstripe fabrics make a rich statement
whether in colors bright and vivid or subtle and neutral. Attention
to detail and the highest standards of quality in our finishing techniques and
construction make our garments and scarves enduring wearabl e art.
Margaret
has been practicing the craft of handweaving since 1974. In 1980, she began exhibiting
her work at crafts fairs and has since earned many awards from technical excellence
and artistic design. In 2002 she was a Niche Award finalist. Her work is available
at crafts fairs, shops, galleries and museum shops nationwide.
