Tara Bissett - A native of Montreal, QC, Tara began her career as a muralist specializing in faux finishes and trompe l'oeil. She studied with Joanne Day of the Day Studio in San Francisco and New York and Manon Babin of Les Maîtres Peintres in Montreal. She also worked with Sandra Kiss-London of Faux Like a Pro in Boston.

In 2000, she collaborated with a couple of talented artist friends, Doug MacKenzie and Annika Diehl, on functional art pieces. The experience inspired Tara to alter her career path from painting on walls to painting on furniture and other wooden accessories. With her focus now on Functional Art, she explores how a unique

piece of furniture or accessory can add flavour and pizzazz to any space. Tara’s work has been exhibited in galleries, shops and private collections across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
