Besides co-owning Artitudes, I have been a jewelry designer since 1983. I have also explored texture and shape relationships as a printmaker, weaver, and in mixed media collage and sculpture.
I worked as a specialized welder in the aerospace industry for over 15 years before I shifted gears and continued working with metals creatively, designing a line of furniture and working with Valerie in her jewelry business.
When we first met, I was a welder racing motorcycles and Valerie was selling her jewelry at fine craft shows throughout the northeast. We were at a craft show one weekend and a racetrack the next, in between we worked together creating Valerie’s jewelry designs.
In 2004 when it was time to put the old van to rest, we created Artitudes here in West Newton, we could walk to the gallery, bring the dogs and kids, and share our love of craft with our neighbors. We continue to enjoy showcasing the work of fine craft artists and sharing their stories.
What We Do
Artitudes makes the works of fine artists accessible to the local Newton community. We showcase hundreds of items in our store and can help you choose what to gift for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and any other special occasions! Come in to shop, or just to admire the beautiful works of art.
